Many of Aurelia’s pieces are made from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel (or other high-quality stainless steel), a metal known for its durability, corrosion resistance, and ability to withstand moisture. This strong foundation makes the jewelry naturally more resistant to tarnishing when it comes into contact with sweat or humidity.

2. Advanced PVD Coating (Physical Vapor Deposition)

Aurelia doesn’t just rely on simple plating, the pieces are finished using PVD. This is a high-performance coating method that bonds gold (or other metals) to the stainless steel in a way that’s far more durable than traditional plating.  

3. Hypoallergenic and Nickel-Free

Because sweat can irritate sensitive skin, Aurelia’s choice of materials is key: their pieces are nickel-free, making them safe for people with metal sensitivities.
